FIELD: railway automatics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to board facilities of railway automatics for determination of rail fracture. In method generator is installed on movable unit, output of which is connected via buses to skis, which rub against surfaces of heads of both rails, skis are located in the middle of a section between carriages of the movable unit; gaskets are attached to the buses, above which receiving coils are placed; the coil cores have L-shape and move along the track of the wheel pair wheel. Electric circuit between skis is closed along rail sections and via wheel pairs, by value induced in EMF coils, which depends on current value and channel of its flowing – center of electrons flow movement along rail line, which at the rail break is shifted from the center, determining the rail breakage in conditions when galvanic contact between the ends of the broken rail is maintained; EMF of each coil is filtered from interference, amplified, rectified to smooth signal, converted into digital signal and introduced into computer, which analyzes signals comparing values of rail current with threshold value and if deviation from standard value is fixed by break of track.
EFFECT: higher reliability of rail thread integrity monitoring.
