FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, to diagnostic methods in psychiatry, and can be used for diagnosing of sexual identification in men. That is ensured by computer-assisted electroencephalography using "10-20" leads and ear ipsilateral electrodes as reference electrodes. Spectral and coherent analysis of obtained electroencephalograms is performed. Determining the square coherence modulus of C2 between leads T6-P4 in frequency range 3.5–5 Hz; between leads F8-F3 in range of 6–8 Hz; between leads T6-P3 in range of 17–18.5 Hz; between leads C4-F3 in range of 29–30.5 Hz. Indicators of normalized coherence are determined. Index Y is calculated by original calculation formula. If Y is more than zero, transsexualism in males is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides differential diagnosis of sexual identification disorders in men by conducting computer electroencephalography and using an original linear discriminant function involving four predictors.
