FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of engineering structures in permafrost zone, namely to construction of embankments for railways. Slope part of road embankment on permafrost contains side soil massif of embankment, located on natural surface of soil, and retaining wall consisting of wall body and foundation, at that, the side soil massif of the embankment on its inner side adjoins the main part of the road embankment, and on the outer side in its upper part it is limited by the inclined surface with its lowering to the outer side, and in its lower part it is limited by the retaining wall body, wherein it comprises bottom rigid element and two sidewalls to make the foundation of retaining wall, made as an element autonomous along the length of the road embankment and located at the intersection with the culvert. Bottom rigid element is located in the watercourse zone at the contact with the head of the culvert and is made in the form of a rectangular prism and is rigidly connected to the body of the retaining wall, sidewalls are arranged at watercourse sides perpendicular to retaining wall body and rigidly jointed with retaining wall body and bottom rigid element. Upper surface of the bottom rigid element is aligned with the level of the watercourse bottom. Length of autonomous element L is determined by formula L≥B+2δ+2d, m, where B is the width of the watercourse at the contact with the culvert, m; δ – thickness of side walls (determined by strength calculation of the entire retaining wall); d is transition massif formation zone; d ≈ h, where h is the height of the retaining wall body, m. Length of the bottom rigid element is equal to the length L of the autonomous element, and the width is determined by the condition of preventing erosion of the bottom of the watercourse bed at the contact with the culvert. Retaining wall body comprises a hole for a culvert, and the bottom rigid element has a hole for the pipe foundation, wherein the culvert extends beyond the outer surface of the retaining wall by a value of C, where 0.5 m≤C≤1.0 m.
EFFECT: providing construction of widened slope part of road embankment on permafrost without elongation of culvert.
