FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control systems of internal combustion engines, namely, to control of air flow into engine cylinder. Result is achieved due to that methods and systems are provided for estimating charge of air supplied to cylinder, based on values of pressure signal in collector, stored in buffer, for control of engine operation parameter. In one of the examples, the method may contain digitization of the signal of the pressure sensor in the inlet header with equal time intervals, assignment of a mark of the corresponding angle of rotation of the crankshaft and their storage in the buffer. Value of the signal closest to the moment of closing the inlet valve of the cylinder can be used to calculate the air charge supplied to it.
EFFECT: technical result is providing accurate assessment of air charge with minimizing computational power required for evaluation of air charge.
