FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to production of wear-, impact-, heat-, crack- and corrosion-resistant coatings, as well as to chemical-thermal treatment of surface, and can be used to increase reliability and durability of wide range of parts of machines from titanium alloys. Proposed method comprises spraying surface of article with nickel alloy film containing beta-stabilizing additives and processing said film by pulsed electron-beam exposure. Then, annealing is performed to initiate precipitation hardening due to formation of intermetallic phases in the near-surface layer.
EFFECT: higher quality of the formed surface hardened layer due to creation on the surface of the product of a layer containing beta-titanium and intermetallide phases.
