FIELD: space equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering, particularly, to spacecraft docking system and method. Spacecraft docking system comprises an active docking device and a passive docking device. Active docking device comprises an active docking ring and a docking frame. Active docking device additionally contains three sets of buffer mechanisms, besides, each set of buffer mechanisms contains the main buffer, two screw-nut units and an auto-differential buffer. Upper end and the lower end of the wrench-screw assembly are movably connected to the active docking ring and the docking frame, respectively. Two worm-screw units in each set are simultaneously actuated and stretched by the main buffer, while also being connected to each other by means of an auto-differential buffer, and are made with possibility of relative adjustment and expansion by means of auto-differential buffer.
EFFECT: enabling higher reliability.
