FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol generating system comprising a condenser. Aerosol-forming system contains an aerosol-forming article containing an aerosol-forming substrate, a first electrode and a dielectric material containing porous substrate material and liquid occluded inside said porous substrate material; and an aerosol generating device comprising a power supply; at least one heater; a cavity for receiving an aerosol-forming article; a first electrical contact for contacting the first electrode when the aerosol-forming article is placed within said cavity; controller; and second electrode; wherein when the aerosol-forming article is placed inside said cavity, the dielectric material is located between the first electrode and the second electrode such that the first electrode, the dielectric material and the second electrode together form a capacitor; controller is configured to control the supply of power from the power supply to the at least one heater for heating the aerosol-generating substrate and the dielectric material and to control the supply of power from the power supply to the capacitor; and controller is configured to measure capacitor capacitance and to complete supply of power from power supply to said at least one heater in case measured capacity exceeds certain threshold.

EFFECT: creation of an aerosol generating system that enables to control the amount of volatile compounds remaining in the aerosol-forming substrate during heating of the aerosol-forming substrate.
