FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of isolated flat long high-temperature superconducting wires (hereafter HTSC), as well as to isolated high-temperature superconducting wires produced using this technology. Method of manufacturing insulated flat long HTSC wire of the second generation includes the following stages: (A) a step for preparing an emulsion for electrodeposition comprising mixing particles of a polyimide resin P 84, a stabilizer, and an organic solvent, and then adding a precipitator. Addition of precipitant is carried out in two stages – at first stage 50–60 % of precipitator is added from its total amount while mixing the mixture at rate of 1,000–3,000 rpm, and at the second stage – remaining quantity of precipitator while stirring with rate not exceeding 100 rpm; (B) stage of electrodeposition of emulsion obtained at stage (A) on HTSC wire in working cell with cathode, (C) burning stage to form insulating film on surface of HTSC wire, including heating at temperature not exceeding 200 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain insulated long HTSC wire with high-quality thin insulating polyimide coating.
