SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely traumatology and orthopedics, namely to an antimicrobial composition for forming a spacer. Antimicrobial composition for forming a spacer based on bone cement with gentamycin also contains a plasticizer, Poviargolum, Dioxydin antiseptics, as well as high molecular weight polyvinylpyrrolidone with molecular weight of 1,000,000 Da, with a certain ratio of components.
EFFECT: use of the above composition prolongs the antimicrobial action of the antimicrobial composition to form a spacer based on bone cement with gentamycin; provides antimicrobial action of bone cement with gentamycin in relation to antibiotic-resistant microorganisms; prolongs hardening of bone cement with gentamycin when forming a spacer.
