FIELD: transportation; technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: technical solution relates to devices and methods for mixing charge and cullet and can be used in lines for loading bins of glass-melting furnaces in glass industry. Result is achieved by installation of plow elements arranged on the left side of belt conveyor of charge, located above the belt at an angle of +(140–150°) relative to direction of its movement. Blades of these plow elements have right-sided bending of their screw-boring surface. On the right side of the belt conveyor of charge there installed are similar plow elements, which have left-sided bending of their helical surface and which are located at angle of -(140–150)° relative to belt motion direction. Length of the bottom edges of the blade of plow elements makes 60–70 % of the width of the conveyor belt. When in contact with moving charge and cullet, arranged on the tape layers, plow elements located on the left side, these materials are turned over and shifted from the left side of the tape to its center and right side. And the plow elements located on the right side, turn layers of charge and cullet on the right side and shift these materials to the center and left side of the tape. Total number of plow elements, which when installed on both sides of the conveyor are alternated and shifted relative to each other by a distance equal to at least width of the conveyor belt, varies from two to four. Two plow elements are used at percentage charge / scrap glass equal to 80–90:10–20, three – at ratio of 70–80:20–30, and four – at ratio of 60–70:30–40. At separate passage of charge and cullet in the mixing zone the plow elements are lifted by means of corresponding pneumatic drives and do not contact with charge and cullet.

EFFECT: simplifying the method and improving reliability of devices intended for mixing of charge and cullet on belt conveyor.
