SUBSTANCE: method includes transportation of cullet by a belt conveyor, the belt of which passes through an induction frame of a metal detector, which detects the presence of metal impurities in cullet. At a distance from the metal detector, a first plow spreader with a pneumatic drive for turning into the working position is installed, and at a distance from it, a second plow spreader with a pneumatic drive for swing is installed. Both plow spreaders are initially raised above the conveyor belt. When a metal detector detects metal impurities in the cullet, the first plow spreader is lowered onto the belt and briefly detains the cullet. After that, the section of the belt between the first and second plow spreader is cleared of cullet and the second plow spreader is lowered onto it. The first plow spreader rises to its original position, and the discharge of a cullet portion with metal impurities into the scrap hopper is carried out by the second plow spreader.
EFFECT: efficiency of the discharge from the conveyor belt of the portion transported to the glass-making furnace of cullet is increased.
