FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction and can be used for monitoring of problem soils of natural occurrence, bulk, foundations of buildings and structures, bases of roads, sidewalks, monitoring of pipeline rupture etc. Ground sink sensor, characterized by the possibility of visual assessment of the earth surface condition and the presence of a dip, comprises a long housing and a load fixed on its end, buried in the ground in the investigated area with a vertically located upper part of the long housing, which protrudes above the surface as a beacon, intended for visual assessment of body movement under load at formation of cavity under it. Weight of the load must be greater than the total force of tangential stresses occurring on the contact surface of the long body and soil.
EFFECT: technical result consists in wider range of technical means for monitoring problematic ground and emergency situations associated with ground failures, as well as in simplifying the design of the device in the form of a ground failure sensor with a beacon function for visual assessment of subsidence of the earth's surface.
