FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method of electron-beam application of hardening coating on items from polymer materials. Metal oxide coating, which is transparent in the visible spectrum, is applied in a vacuum. Ceramic target is evaporated by an electron beam with power of up to 5 kW and electron energy of 15–30 keV at pressure of 5–30 Pa.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the duration of the process of depositing a reinforcing coating from a metal oxide on the polymer article.
