FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to hardening and increasing the wear resistance of gas turbine engines compressors blades. Method of ion-plasma application of multilayer coating on articles from aluminium alloys involves preliminary polishing and cleaning of the article surface in an ultrasonic bath, its cleaning with argon ions with subsequent ion implantation of nitrogen into the article surface layer and deposition of titanium nitride layers. Cleaning with argon ions is carried out with a beam of argon ions at the anode voltage of 2.0-3.0 kV and the current of 0.5 A during 5-6 minutes, the ion implantation of nitrogen is performed with nitrogen ions beam at the accelerating voltage of 2.0-3.0 kV and the current of 0.5 A during 10-12 minutes to form an intermediate layer of aluminium nitride of nano-sized value. Coating of titanium nitride is applied in a vacuum chamber by magnetron sputtering of cathode-target from titanium in the atmosphere of argon and nitrogen using a pulse-frequency power supply source with the pulse repetition frequency of not less than 10 kHz. Temperature of the article is maintained within the range of 90-200 °C, and pressure in the working chamber is 0.37 Pa, herewith the coating application time is 20-60 minutes. Then samples are cooled in argon medium at the pressure of 5×104Pa until the temperature reaches 25 °C.

EFFECT: higher hardness and wear resistance of articles from aluminium alloys are provided.
