FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in preparation for operation of air tuyere of blast furnace. Compensation heat-insulating material is applied on welded seams of inner sleeve on the side of blowing channel and on outer surface of heat-insulating insert and heat-insulating insert is inserted into blowing channel. After inserting heat-insulating insert in the blasting channel on its inner surface is applied a first layer of refractory slip coating containing ceramic fiber, and after drying, second layer of same coating is applied from inlet section of heat-insulating insert to hole for supply of natural gas. Besides, the slurry coating is applied on the end surfaces of the inlet cross-section of the heat-insulating insert and the holes for the natural gas supply, as well as into existing air gaps between surfaces of heat-insulating insert and inner sleeve on side of inlet section and opening for supply of natural gas.
EFFECT: higher stability of heat-insulating insert.
