SUBSTANCE: air tuyere of the blast-furnace comprises a heat insulating insert in a blow duct mounted with an air gap with respect to an inner cup, wherein the outer radius of the insert is determined considering thermal expansion of insert material and material of the inner cup.

EFFECT: resistance of the heat-insulating insert is increased during operation.
