FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in installation of heat-insulating ceramic insert in blowing channel of air tuyere of blast furnace. Proposed method comprises application of compensating heat-insulating material with adhesive and waterproofing properties to weld seams of inner sleeve on the side of blowing channel and external surface of heat-insulating insert and introduction of heat-insulating insert into blowing channel, wherein scale is removed from surface of blowing channel adjacent to insert and heat-insulating material is applied locally on cleaned surface, and after insertion into blowing channel it is centered relative to outlet section of gas branch pipe and inner sleeve.
EFFECT: invention increases resistance of the ceramic insert.
