SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in exhaust systems of internal combustion engines. Method of controlling operation of oxygen sensor is intended for oxygen sensor, which includes heater. Method consists in measurement of first resistance of heater at first temperature. Method includes generation of transfer function of resistance-temperature, which relates resistance of heater with temperature of heater based on first resistance of heater and second resistance of heater at second temperature. Second temperature differs from first temperature. Disclosed are embodiments of a method of controlling operation of an oxygen sensor.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of sensor operation control.
