FIELD: soil or rock drilling; mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and can be used for control of roof stability in underground mine workings in conditions of underground mining with long faces. In particular, disclosed is a system for longwall development, comprising: a plurality of mechanized supports, wherein each powered support includes a controlled hydraulic piston configured to apply an adjustable bearing pressure to the mine working roof; coal cutter made with possibility of movement along the mine working face as multiple mechanized supports are arranged in line along the working face, and an electronic control unit configured to receive data from each powered support from a plurality of powered supports indicative of fluid pressure within each respective controlled hydraulic piston, and monitoring the roofing state based on changes in the received data for a period of time. Electronic control unit is configured to monitor the condition of the mine working roof based on changes in the received data for a period of time by forming a graphic pressure map. Graphic pressure map includes a plurality of parallel display lines, each of which provides a fluid pressure reading inside one separate controlled hydraulic piston from a plurality of mechanized supports for a period of time, and the cutter machine position line indicating the position of the coal cutter relative to the plurality of mechanized supports for a period of time superimposed on the plurality of parallel display lines.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in safety.
