In response to turbine rpm (92) exceeding the first turbine rpm threshold, the opening time of the first exhaust valve (E1) of cylinder (20) is delayed. First exhaust valve of the cylinder supplies exhaust gases into turbine of turbine generator (94). Disclosed is method for engine with branched exhaust system and engine system.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency and reliability of turbo-generator capacity control.
