FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal processing and can be used in processing wheels of rail vehicles. System comprises a wheel pair lifting mechanism, a turning device made in the form of a portable lathe (PL) with a computer numerical control unit (CNC-PL), and wheel pair rotation device with computer numerical control unit (CNC-WPRD). Machine tool includes a cutting tool fixed on a cutting holder of the mounting table with possibility of movement by means of a movement mechanism of a mounting table in the form of the upper and lower supports equipped with the appropriate servo drives with the CNC- PL control unit. Movement mechanism comprises ball-screw gears and roller carriages installed on rolling guides.

EFFECT: using the invention allows improving quality of treatment and reducing duration of wheel profiling.
