FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for rapid measurement of frequency of continuous microwave signals in a wide frequency range. Wide-band frequency meter of microwave signals consists of series-connected input amplifier-limiter, band-pass microwave filter, in-phase divider of microwave power to N+1 (N takes values from row 2,3,4,5, etc.), as well as N delay lines, N phase correlators, which outputs are connected to a computing device. At that, delay lines are connected in series, wherein input of first delay line is connected to one of outputs of in-phase divider of microwave power by N+1, and the output of the last N-th delay line is connected to one of the N-th phase correlator inputs, the second input of the N-th phase correlator is connected to one of the outputs of the in-phase microwave power divider by N+1, connection point of n-th and (n+1)-th delay lines is connected to one of inputs of n phase correlator (n takes values from 1 to N-1), another input of n-th phase correlator is connected to one of outputs of in-phase microwave power divider by N+1. Serial connection with taps from each delay line allows, at appropriate selection of time delay of each delay line to reduce required number of delay lines, while preserving accuracy of frequency measurement.
EFFECT: reduction of overall dimensions and weight with preservation of frequency measurement accuracy.
