FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for rapid measurement of frequency of continuous microwave signals in a wide frequency range. Essence of the invention is that the method of broadband frequency measurement of the microwave signal, which consists in amplification-limitation of the input signal, band-pass filtering, in-phase signal division, signal delay in the first and second delay lines, phase detection of undetected and delayed in first delay line signal in first phase detector, phase detection of non-open and delayed in second delay line signal in second phase detector, processing voltages from first and second phase detectors in computing device, wherein signals passed through the first and second delay lines are additionally supplied to the third phase detector, wherein ambiguity of frequency measurement by voltages of the first and second phase detectors is eliminated by voltage of the third phase detector.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of overall dimensions and weight while maintaining accuracy of frequency measurement.
