FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for rapid measurement of frequency of continuous microwave signals in a wide frequency range. Essence of the disclosed solution lies in the fact that a broadband frequency meter for microwave signals on delay lines with preliminary frequency conversion is made in several versions. In the first case, into this device, consisting of series-connected input amplifier-limiter, band-passing microwave filter, in-phase microwave power divider, as well as N delay lines, N phase correlators, which outputs are connected to a computing device, additionally introduced N frequency multipliers, multiplication factors of which are selected from series 1,2,3...A completely or with omissions, wherein inputs of frequency multipliers are connected to corresponding outputs of inphase divider of microwave power, first outputs of frequency multipliers are connected to inputs of corresponding delay lines, and second outputs to one of inputs of corresponding phase correlators, outputs of delay lines are connected to other input of corresponding phase correlators. In the second case, a device consisting of series-connected input amplifier-limiter, band-passing microwave filter, in-phase microwave power divider, as well as M delay lines, M phase correlators, which outputs are connected to a computing device, additionally introduced M frequency dividers, division coefficients of which are selected from series 1,2,3...B completely or with omissions, wherein inputs of frequency dividers are connected to corresponding outputs of inphase divider of microwave power, first outputs of frequency dividers are connected to inputs of corresponding delay lines, and second outputs to one of inputs of corresponding phase correlators, outputs of delay lines are connected to other input of corresponding phase correlators. In the third case, a device consisting of series-connected input amplifier-limiter, band-passing microwave filter, in-phase microwave power divider, as well as N+M delay lines, N+M phase correlators, which outputs are connected to a computing device, additionally N frequency multipliers are introduced, multiplication factors of which are selected from series 1,2,3...C completely or with passes, M frequency dividers, division coefficients of which are selected from series 1,2,3...D completely or with passes, wherein inputs of frequency multipliers and frequency dividers are connected to corresponding outputs of in-phase divider of microwave power, first outputs of frequency multipliers are connected to inputs of corresponding delay lines, and second outputs to one of inputs of corresponding phase correlators, first outputs of frequency dividers are connected to inputs of corresponding delay lines, and second outputs to one of inputs of corresponding phase correlators, outputs of delay lines are connected to other input of corresponding phase correlators.
EFFECT: reduced dimensions and weight, high sensitivity of the device while maintaining accuracy of measuring frequency by replacing long delay lines with short ones with preliminary conversion of frequency of the input signal by dividing and/or multiplying.
