SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to plastic surgery, and aims at selecting a therapeutic approach to age-related involute changes in soft tissues of the cervico-facial region. State of tissues is assessed by ultrasound examination in the vertical position of the upper body, head and neck. If there are ptosed strands of m. platisma, thickness of subcutaneous fat above it, not exceeding thickness of subcutaneous fat in adjacent areas, platysmotomy is performed. If the thickness of adipose tissue in the lower one-third of the face, neck and chin is 70 % or more of soft tissue thickness, local removal of excessive subcutaneous fat is performed in the areas of disturbed contours. If observing soft tissue atrophy, the presence of jowl, 80 % and more consisting of ptosis skin and muscles, surgical correction of atrophied soft tissues is performed. If thickness of adipose tissue in the lower one-third of the face, neck and chin is 70 % or more of soft tissue thickness and ptosed strands of m. platisma is combined to remove excess subcutaneous fat in areas of disturbed contours and platysmotomy.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of adequate assessment of the soft tissue state, a degree of atrophy, detection of the prevailing tissue component in age involuntary changes for the correct treatment planning.
