FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely, to application of tin dioxide coating, and can be used in production of protective coatings, as well as in creation of gas sensors, optoelectrical and luminescent devices. Furnace with SnO is installed in container closed by substrate, previously mentioned capacity is blown with inert gas for air removal, then furnace with SnO is heated to 1,080–1,430 °C, SnO is evaporated, gaseous SnO is passed through said vessel and deposited on a cooled substrate, after which at same temperature vessel is blown with air for oxidation of SnO to SnO2, and then the substrate is subjected to thermal treatment at the same temperature in the air atmosphere.
EFFECT: obtaining a coating from tin dioxide with thickness of 750 nm to 200 mcm, having a homogeneous surface, wherein the disclosed method is simple, easy to implement and does not require significant power consumption.
