FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of coatings on metal parts in the form of bodies of revolution and can be used for application of metal coatings on surface of rolling rolls, supports of sliding bearings, neck of crankshafts, plungers of hydraulic systems. Device for mechanical application of coating on outer cylindrical surface of metal part comprises body-cylinder fixed on support of machine, in which piston, pusher, rod from coating material and loading system are coaxially located. Loading system is made as gravitational in the form of replaceable weights installed on the pusher end. Housing-cylinder with rod from coating material is installed vertically, and its longitudinal axis is located at distance of 0.6–0.7 of radius of machined surface from axis of rotation of part. Device is equipped with ultrasonic acoustic system consisting of magnetostriction converter installed in separate housing, connected to concentrator-waveguide, on end part of which emitter of ultrasonic oscillations is fixed, contacting with end part of rod from coating material in zone of its contact with machined part surface. Longitudinal axis of concentrator-waveguide and radiator is located along normal to circumference of treated surface.

EFFECT: use of ultrasonic oscillations intensifying the process of coating application, which improves adhesion of the applied layer to the surface of the processed part and enables to obtain coatings of higher thickness.
