SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Invention is a method for selection in vitro of acid-tolerant forms of red clover, including cultivation on nutrient medium of Gamborg B5 morphogenic culture of red clover, produced by sprouting of seeds and cultivating seedlings on Gamborg B5 nutritive agarized medium with 2 mg/l of 6-benzylaminopurine and 100 mg/l of Al3+, where morphogenic tissue is obtained by subculturing epicotyls of seedlings without roots and with roots of less than 4–5 mm from selective nutritive agarized medium of Gamborg B5 with 2 mg/l of 6-benzylaminopurine and 100 mg/l of Al3+ on medium of same composition, but without Al3+, and assessment of acid endurance of morphogenic tissue is carried out by growth index (not lower than 5.0) in 3–4 weeks of repeated cultivation of explants (pieces of morphogenic tissue) on selective medium with 100 mg/l Al3+ and the ability of regenerating plants formed from morphogenic tissue to survive after 3–4 mowing in a soil greenhouse for at least 3 years of vegetation.

EFFECT: invention allows selecting regenerating plants with higher acidity.
