METHOD OF GENETIC TRANSFORMATION OF PLANTS OF MEADOW CLOVER SELECTION-VALUABLE SAMPLES Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A01H4/00

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: samples of morphogenetic tissue with sprouts of meadow clover are cut into parts with size of 3-5 mm, which are placed onto Gamborg medium B5 with 2 mg/l of 6-benzylaminopurine. The upper surface of explant cut is inoculated with an agrobacterium. Co-cultivation is carried out within 48 hours, afterwards explants are washed from agrobacteria remains on Gamborg medium B5 of the same composition with addition of 50 mg/l of kanamycin and 500 mg/l of cefotaxime. Regeneration of plants with roots is carried out on the medium of the same composition, but without cefotaxime, provided there are no signs of agrobacterial infection. Then, using PCR-analysis, availability of inbuilt genes is checked, and selection-valuable criteria preservation of initial samples is inspected.

EFFECT: new method of genetic transformation of plants of meadow clover selection-valuable samples is proposed.
