FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to expandable intraluminal grafts (stents) intended for installation in a canal or body duct, and used, in particular, for recovery of blood vessels narrowed or occluded due to disease. Delivery facility of the expandable medical stent consisting of a frame representing a hollow cylinder with a structural element of the frame in the form of a concave hexagon represents flexible wires placed coaxially to the stent, one of which is fixed to its distal edge, and the other – to the proximal one. Each of the wires is fixed to the corresponding edge of the stent by means of a lamella that withstands longitudinal loads and has zones of weakening or notches at points of attachment to the frame, which are destructed at torsion deformation. Method of stent installation consists in stent installation and delivery device inside vessel, and after compressed stent delivery to installation place for its opening, wire of said delivery device is pulled, attached to proximal end of stent in direction from stent center – to itself, and the wire attached to the distal end of the stent is pushed in the direction from the center of the stent from itself, and then torsion of the wires is performed until they are disconnected from the frame.
EFFECT: object of the present invention is to expand the range of equipment, namely, a stent delivery device and a method which enable to install it without overlapping a stented vessel.
