FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to expandable intraluminal grafts (stents) intended for installation in a body canal or duct and used, in particular, for recovery of blood vessels narrowed or occluded due to disease. Delivery facility of the expandable medical stent consisting of a frame representing a hollow cylinder with a structural element of the frame in the form of a concave hexagon, represents two flexible wires placed coaxially to the stent, one of which is fixed to its distal edge, and the other to the proximal one. Wires are fixed to the stent edges by means of the threaded joints. Method of extending the above expandable medical stent consists in that after delivering the compressed stent to the installation site for its expansion, pulling the wire of the above delivery device attached to the proximal end of the stent in the direction from the stent center to itself, and the wire attached to the distal end of the stent is pushed in the direction from the center of the stent – from itself and then torsion of the wires is performed in the thread unscrewing direction before disconnection from the frame.
EFFECT: expand the range of technical means, namely, a stent delivery device and a method which enable to install a stent without occluding the stented vessel.
