EXPANDABLE MEDICAL STENT AND METHOD OF ITS INTRODUCTION Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F2/844 A61F2/95

Abstract RU 2712957 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to expandable intraluminal grafts (stents) intended for installation in a canal or duct of body, and used, in particular, for recovery of blood vessels narrowed or occluded due to disease. Delivery facility of the expandable medical stent consisting of a frame, which is a hollow cylinder with a structural element of the frame in the form of a concave hexagon, represents two flexible wires placed coaxially to the stent, one of which is fixed to its distal edge, and the other – to the proximal one. Each of the wires is fixed to the corresponding edge of the stent due a locking connection made in the form of a hollow cylindrical shell having one base and slots on the side surface, and lamella combined with slots in the shell. Lamella is attached to the edge of the stent. Shell is attached to the wire from its outer side perpendicular to the base. Method for introducing the above expandable medical stent involves inserting a stent and a delivery device into the vessel, wherein after delivering the compressed stent to the site of deployment, pulling the wire of the above delivery device, which is attached to the proximal end of the stent in the direction from the stent center – towards itself, and wire attached to the distal end of the stent is pushed in the direction from the center of the stent from itself, and then torsion of the wires is performed until the lock is opened and disconnected from the frame.

EFFECT: expand the range of technical means, namely, a stent delivery device and a method which enable to install a stent without occluding the stented vessel.
