TRANSCEIVING MODULE OF ACTIVE PHASED ARRAY OF MICROWAVE RANGE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H01Q21/00

Abstract RU 2713079 C1

FIELD: radio engineering; electronics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio electronic devices, specifically to design of transceiving modules of active phased antenna arrays of microwave range. Essence of the disclosed solution lies in the fact that the transceiving module of the active phased array of the microwave band has at least one "reception/transfer" switch for 2 positions, the "input-output" of which is the input-output of the module. Contact "output" in position "transfer" of switch is connected to input of transmitting channel, which includes series-connected at least one controlled n-bit stepped phase shifter and additional n-bit stepped phase shifter, wherein both phase changers are connected to one control circuit, matching amplifiers, preliminary power amplifier, output power amplifier. Output of transmitting channel, which is output of module, and at least one contact "input" in position "reception" of switch, which is connected to output of receiving channel, which contains series-connected at least one controlled n-bit stepwise phase shifter, an additional n-bit stepped phase shifter, at least one controlled n-bit step attenuator, an additional n-bit step attenuator, at least one low-noise amplifier, a security device and a receiving channel input which is the input of the module, wherein attenuators are connected to one control circuit and phase changers are connected to one control circuit, matching amplifiers, wherein in each channel each control circuit of phase shifters or attenuators comprises converter of control signal levels. Transmitting channel includes a second switch, the input of which is connected to the output of the first one, and the output is connected to the input of the controlled n-bit stepwise phase shifter, the output of which is connected to the input of the first matching amplifier, amplifier output is connected to input of additional n-bit stepped phase shifter output of which is connected to input of controlled n-bit step attenuator, output of which is connected to input of additional n-bit step attenuator, output of which is connected to input of second matching amplifier, output of which is connected to third switch. First output of the third switch is connected to the input of the first switch, and the second output is connected through a third matching amplifier to a preamplifier, the output of which is connected to the input of the output power amplifier, a modulator of the transmitting channel is connected to power amplifiers, at that, said channel additionally comprises power control system with input connected to output of power amplifier while output is connected to X-circulator output with its input making module output. Input of receiving channel is connected to input of X-circulator, and second output is connected to input of protective device, output of protective device is connected to input of attenuator, output of which is connected to input of low-noise amplifier, output of which is connected to input of second switch through fourth and fifth matching amplifiers, modulator of receiving channel is connected to third, fourth and fifth matching amplifiers. Converter of serial control code into parallel code is made common and connected to control circuits of attenuators and phase shifters via buses of internal control signals, and to input there connected is external bus, through which control signals and supply voltage are supplied.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining coordinates of an object owing to high stability of operation of channels, improved electrical characteristics and high reliability by simplifying the design of the transceiving module.
