FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of coating on metal strip by means of coating application device. In the coating application device, the strip passes first through the coating application container with the liquid coating agent, and then through the nozzle removal device to remove the excess coating agent from the strip surface. After the nozzle removal device, the strip passes through the strip stabilization device with multiple magnets on both wide sides of the strip. Adjustment deviation of the mold is defined as the difference between the detected actual shape of the strip and the given design shape of the strip and this adjustment deviation of the mold is used to control the magnets of the strip stabilization device to enable to convert the actual shape of the strip into a design shape. Said control is carried out by displacing at least one of magnets (132-A) depending on adjusting deviation of shape in direction (R) of strip width (200) with respect to at least one of magnets (132-B) on opposite wide side strip and into position of movement, in which it at least approximately resists wave trough in actual shape of strip.
EFFECT: invention provides for alignment of strip curvature by creation of bending moment in strip.
