FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to general and purulent surgery, and can be used for prediction of efficacy of antibacterial therapy of infected shin wounds after secondary surgical treatment in middle-aged people. Patients with infected wounds are examined for the level of microcirculation in shin tissues by LAKK-M apparatus in laser Doppler flowmetry. Sensor is placed at a distance of not more than 1.0 cm from the wound edges; an index of the average perfusion value is recorded, which is then compared to the age norm. Criterion of ineffectiveness of the conducted antibacterial therapy is the reduction of the normal microcirculation value by more than 60 % from the lower limit of standard of 17.5 perf. units.
EFFECT: method enables, if necessary, correcting the standard antibacterial therapy by evaluating reliable information on the state of the microcirculation within an infected wound of the shin.
