FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to an x-ray contrast bioglass composition and a method for production thereof, and can be used in orthopedics and maxillofacial surgery to create a bioactive coating on implants or in dentistry as an additive in a filling material, and enables visual monitoring of the implant or filling positioning both at the stage of placement and over time. Radiopaque bioactive glass contains the following components, wt. %: SiO2 40.5–44.5, Na2O 22.0–24.3, CaO 22.0–24.3, P2O5 5.5–5.9, WO3 1.0–10.0. It is obtained by mixing calcium oleate, sodium oleate, tributyl phosphate and tetraethoxysilane in turpentine, adding a tungsten extract obtained by extraction of tri-n-octylamine from a hydrochloric acid solution of tungsten, heating to remove solvent at 150–200 °C, and pyrolysis at temperature of 1250–1300 °C for 30 minutes.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of method for obtaining bio-glass, containing X-ray contrast agent - tungsten oxide, having lower solubility, and less toxic.
