FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measurement equipment and is intended for nondestructive testing of quality and homogeneity of thin magnetic films. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the derivative is measured from the value of absorption of electromagnetic energy of the microwave field by a sample which is placed in a crossed high-frequency magnetic field and a constant magnetic field, wherein a high-frequency magnetic field is parallel to a modulating magnetic field. Two synchronous detection circuits are used to measure variable component of voltage on resonator with frequency of modulating field and with its double frequency. Measurements are carried out by varying the value of the constant magnetic field from zero to a value greater than the field of anisotropy of the sample from signals from the outputs of synchronous detectors, the maximum dependence of the signal from the second synchronous detector is observed at a constant magnetic field equal to the anisotropy field. At fixed constant magnetic field angle between direction of high-frequency excitation magnetic field and sample anisotropy axis is changed, angular dependence is measured from output of first synchronous detector. Central value between the extrema of the obtained dependence corresponds to the direction of the anisotropy field.
EFFECT: high sensitivity of measuring magnetic characteristics of thin-film ferromagnetic samples.
