FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a bumper beam for a vehicle and a method for production thereof. Bumper bar 1 is made of at least one steel-molded sheet 10 and comprises upper beam 12 and lower beam 14, passing in transverse direction, each of which has a closed cross-section defined by front wall 16, 22, rear wall 18, 24, upper wall 20, 29 and lower wall 26, 27. Upper wall 20, 29 and lower wall 26, 27 connect front wall 16, 22 with rear wall 18, 24. Each of front walls 16, 22 of upper beam 12 and lower beam 14 has front rib 66 extending transversely and towards inner part of bumper beam 1. At least one of top wall 20 of upper beam 12, bottom wall 26 of lower beam 14, rear wall 18 of upper beam 12 and rear wall 24 of lower beam 14 additionally comprises rib 66, 70 extending transversely and towards inner part of bumper bar 1.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the strength.
