FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies for processing video images and is intended for encoding and decoding an image using interframe prediction. Decoding method comprises: determining the predicted motion information of the first decoded unit; performing bidirectional prediction of the first decoded block based on the predicted motion information to obtain a first predictable decoded block; performing motion with first accuracy for predicted unit of reference image to obtain at least one second predictable decoded unit, wherein search position for motion search is determined using motion vector predictor and first accuracy; calculating the difference between the first predictable decoded block and each of the second predictable decoded blocks to obtain the target predictor of the motion vector of the first decoded unit and updating target motion vector predictor using motion search.

EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of determining movement during interframe prediction.
