FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Disclosed is a test system for determining enzymatic activity of bacteria in ammonia. Test system contains a substrate with a reactive element, a fixing sheet on a substrate with a hole for placing biological material, a cover sheet on a fixing sheet. Reactive element consists of an indicator which is sensitive to ammonia and which contains a substrate for detecting enzymatic activity and which is a semipermeable hydrophobic membrane of the sensitive layer. Surfaces of the substrate and the fixing sheet facing each other are connected by an adhesive layer, the area of the sensitive layer of the element is greater than the area of the indicator layer. Note here that substrate, fixing and covering sheet are made from impermeable hydrophobic material, and their thickness, as well as thickness of each layer of reactive element are in range from 50 to 300 mcm.

EFFECT: invention provides reduced time for determination of activity of enzymatic reactions and expansion of analysed samples.
