FIELD: electrical communication engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to communication technologies and can be used for encoding and decoding a polar code. Decoding method comprises the following steps: obtaining polar code and length N of code of polar code; determining the number L of the most probable routes of the polar code in accordance with the length of the N code of the polar code and the signal/noise ratio (SNR) of the polar code, where L is a positive integer; and slotted decoding with sequential exception (SCL) is performed on polar code in accordance with number L of most probable routes, to obtain L most probable routes, and checking at least one of the L most probable routes to obtain a decoding result of the polar code.
EFFECT: technical result is reduced complexity of encoding and decoding.
