FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining information on an agricultural animal. Method consists in attachment of a device containing an at least one acceleration sensor to the area of the animal's head, by means of which the acceleration data are repeatedly measured. Acceleration data are evaluated using automated data processing means and determined as a result of animal's action and / or state assessment. Acceleration sensor is placed on the ear tag, and the recorded acceleration data are evaluated so that the swallowing processes performed by the animal are detected.
EFFECT: method provides obtaining reliable information on an animal and provides the animal with less unpleasant sensations.
