FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physics of nuclear reactors. Method of estimating a nuclear-hazardous state of a multiplying assemblies (MA) with an active zone from fissile material by determining the multiplication factor of neutrons in the MA is that a control channel (CC) of the neutron flux is organized, neutron flux density is measured, a system of MA and IN is formed, measure the total neutron flux density, the ratio of the measured values determine the coefficient of neutron multiplication in MA. IN are located outside the MA in the region where the influence of the IN on the MA leads to multiplication of neutrons of the source by the multiplying assembly, performing total density measurement Cmes neutron flux by a system of PC and third-party IN. At different distances x from IN to CC detector, plotting the dependence Cmes(x). Interpolating relationship Cmes(x) by points, where minimum number of neutrons from MA, to points near MA. Dependence of Cinterp(x) is neutron flux density emitted by IN. A neutron flux density Cem(x) falling in the MA from the IN, the neutron multiplication factor Q in the multiplication system is determined in accordance with the relationship.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to control nuclear safety of MA in conditions when the state of MA from the point of view of nuclear safety is unknown.
