FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purification of internal combustion engine exhaust gases. Disclosed are methods and systems for regenerating a particulate filter comprising a filter housing having filter paper stretched on a plurality of roller guides. At least one roller guide can be a roller heater having a motor and a heater. Activation of the roller heater based on the pressure difference on the particulate filter regenerates the particulate filter during the regeneration phase and arranges the regenerated section of the filter paper to catch soot in the subsequent soot accumulation phase.

EFFECT: disclosed are a particulate filter and a regeneration system for such a filter.
