FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used for determination of functional efficiency of orthopaedic structures in patients with partial or complete absence of teeth. An index of peripheral blood flow (RI) of the facial artery is determined by ultrasound Doppler sonography before the treatment. Then the central ratio of jaws is determined, wax structures are fitted in the oral cavity, RI is determined again. An orthopaedic structure is made. 1 month after orthopaedic treatment RI is determined. Normalization of RI indicates functional effectiveness of orthopaedic structures.
EFFECT: method provides determining the effectiveness of orthopaedic structures in patients with partial or complete absence of teeth by evaluating the blood flow parameters of the facial artery.
