SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of clathrate complexes for use in chemistry, technology, medicine and agriculture. Disclosed method of producing clathrate complexes of volatile substances with cyclodextrins involves interaction of gaseous volatile substance with cyclodextrins, accompanied by substitution of substance, associated with initial cyclodextrin. Cyclodextrins in form of the starting commercial product without preliminary treatment are exposed to volatile substances selected from the group: ethylene, 1-methylcyclopropene, propane, benzene, butane fraction containing methane, ethane, propane, n-butane and isobutane. Process is carried out under external excess pressure of 0.05–10 atm and temperature of 20–100 °C for 0.5–10 hours in a closed apparatus, which is accompanied by circulation through cyclodextrin of a gas phase, which is a volatile substance, with gas exchange rate of 1–20 liters of gas phase under n.c. for every 100 g of cyclodextrin per minute. Substitute substance in the process of obtaining the inclusion complex is crystallisation water bound to the initial cyclodextrin. Circulated gas phase continuously passes through the external device with a drying reagent selected from the group: calcium chloride, sodium sulphate, solid sodium or potassium alkali, calcium oxide, zeolites or any mixture thereof.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain clathrate complexes of volatile substances in a single-step process.
