SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to anti-fouling system (1) used on ship (versions), method of controlling operation of anti-fouling source and controller (50) for controlling operation of anti-fouling source. System has wet compartment (10) having at least one inlet opening (11) for water supply to wet compartment (10), and is configured to receive and control at least one anti-fouling source (30) for emitting anti-fouling light. At least one surface (26) contained in humid compartment (10) free of biological fouling is maintained. System (1) also comprises controller (50) for controlling operation of at least one antifouling source (30). Controller (50) is configured to determine at least one operating parameter of at least one antifouling source (30) depending on at least one of at least one water-related parameter, at least one parameter-related parameter and at least one parameter related to the hole.

EFFECT: increasing possibility of anti-fouling and longer service life of at least one antifouling source.
