FIELD: environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to prevention of biological fouling of an object, such as a vessel or other structure intended for use on water. Invention provides light system (1) for prevention of fouling, made with possibility of prevention or reduction of biofouling of fouling element (1201) of object (1200). Fouling element (1201) during its use at least partially moves and is at least temporarily exposed to water. Fouling is prevented by irradiating said fouling element (1201) with anti-fouling light (211). Light system (1) for preventing fouling comprises at least one laser light source (2), configured to generate anti-fouling light (211) and provide said anti-fouling light (211) to said fouling element (1201) during use thereof, wherein light system (1) for preventing fouling is configured in such a way that during use, fouling element (1201) at least partially moves relative to laser light source (2).
EFFECT: high efficiency of preventing fouling of an object at least temporarily exposed to water.
