FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides light system (1) for preventing fouling, designed to prevent or reduce the biofouling of fouling element (1201) of object (1200). Fouling element (1201) during its use at least partially moves and is at least temporarily exposed to water. Fouling is prevented by irradiating said fouling element (1201) to prevent fouling (211). Lighting system (1) for preventing fouling includes at least one laser light source (2) configured to generate anti-fouling light (211) and provide said fouling-preventing light (211) to said fouling element (1201) during use thereof, wherein the anti-fouling optical system (1) is configured such that during use fouling element (1201) at least partially moves relative to the laser light source (2).
EFFECT: invention provides more effective prevention or reduction of fouling element biofouling.
