FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to non-textured electrical steel sheet used as material of iron cores of high-efficiency induction motors. Steel has a chemical composition containing the following, wt%: C: 0.0050 or less, Si: from 1.50 or more to 4.00 or less, Al: 0.500 or less, Mn: 0.10 or more to 5.00 or less, S: 0.0200 or less, P: 0.200 or less, N: 0.0050 or less, O: 0.0200 or less, and at least one of elements selected from Sb: 0.0010 or more to 0.10 or less or Sn: 0.0010 or more to 0.10 or less, balance – Fe and unavoidable admixtures. Steel is characterized by conversion temperature of Ar3 of 700 °C or more, grain size in range of 80 mcm to 200 mcm and Vickers hardness in range of 140 HV to 230 HV.
EFFECT: steel has high magnetic induction and low losses in the core.
